Credentia SSL Certificates

SSL certificates, sometimes called X.509 certificates, allow you to perform encrypted communication on the Internet and other networks. Also known as TLS (Transport Layer Security), the Secure Sockets Layer protocol delivers confidentiality, authentication and in the case of STARTTLS, opportunistic email encryption.

At Credentia, we feel that a widespread Public-Key Infrastructure using SSL/TLS and X.509 certificates is the destiny of the global Internet. SSL/TLS can be used to enable secure authentication, integrity and confidentiality.

Virtually all of the top-ten EMail servers support SSL connections by virtue of STARTTLS, and most email clients do as well.

Many other popular open-source applications, like MySQL, OpenLDAP, Dovecot, Apache, Jakarta Tomcat etc. support SSL. Another application, stunnel, even has the ability to wrap arbitrary TCP-based services inside of an encrypted tunnel.

Please choose from the following SSL-related resources that Credentia has to offer.
